World Changers

Here’s the idea: I plan to blog about life as a new parent struggling with consumer-insanity and climate change, under the handle of Modern Mama. I also plan to blog about social media under a different handle and probably politics and other stuff too. I’m looking for people with different axes to grind to blog here about their stuff (and I mean different — I’m doing parenting and social media but you should do what you’re passionate about — we’ll need eco people and sexuality bloggers and feminism bloggers and much much more)… and when I spot posts I think are superb, insightful, amazing and world-changing, I’ll pimp them on the front page of the World Changers site. In effect, it’s a magazine and you are the columnists.

I’ll provide you with a sub-domain of your choice @ world-changer.org and e-mail at world-changer.org. You get a WordPress install that I’ll keep up to date (and you can decorate it as you wish). I haven’t thought much about editorial guidelines I guess if you’re posting racist, sexist, homophobic shit or what you’re writing is illegal, I will boot you. Somehow, I doubt any of you will do that.

If we ever make money from this, I’ll pay proportionally for articles that a) get the most traffic to the site or b) that I think are worth pimping on the front page. Hopefully, this encourages excellent and awesome writing and therefore excellent and awesome quality reading for our readers.
